Senior management sets out the foundation of the company’s health and safety policy. The health of our employees is our most valuable asset, which must be protected at all times. We therefore take all necessary measures to create and maintain safe workplaces. The company ensures that this policy is appropriate in relation to the nature and extent of the health and safety risks associated with its activities, products and services. Furthermore, continuous improvements are made to the ERP system, and these are reviewed and evaluated for their effectiveness. Care is taken to ensure that changes are communicated to employees and understood by them. In addition, we fully involve employees in occupational health and safety matters, specifically integrating them into processes such as internal audits, carrying out risk assessments and providing instruction on operating procedures. Furthermore, the company undertakes to hold quarterly consultations with all designated employees with the aim of continuously improving and steadily increasing occupational safety.

The senior management of thoenes® Dichtungstechnik GmbH ensures that all legal and other requirements to which the company is committed are met. Furthermore, the management undertakes to ensure that measures for addressing opportunities and risks are planned in a targeted manner, and that the necessary activities for the implementation and maintenance of the management system are carried out and implemented.

We operate in accordance with current environmental and health and safety laws and regulations. To this end, we utilise processes and manufacturing equipment that reflect the latest scientific and technical advancements. Our value-added and support processes are carefully planned and comply with all relevant standards, regulations and national and international legal requirements.

Our main areas of focus within society include participation in the Scientific Advisory Board of TU Dresden, engagement with schools and vocational training, and communication with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), public authorities and political decision-makers, with the aim of preserving the community of performance and value creation for the benefit of society as a whole.

We aim to ensure the quality of our products not merely by rectifying faults, but by preventing them at an early stage.
