thoenes® filtration solutions
The filtration solutions from thoenes® can be used in various filtration applications. Continuity, precision, reproducibility and suitability for series production characterize our knitted filters and silencers. We use high-performance, state-of-the-art multi-material knitting machines for production. We assemble your product in our robot-supported production cell using endless goods.
Our filtration solutions can be precisely adapted to your specific application requirements in our robot-assisted production cell. We can set the following parameters individually:
- Width,
- mesh density,
- material composition,
- filament fineness of the starting material.
With us you will find fine knits, filters and silencers as well as metal knits. Fine knits are made in our knitting machine. We are able to produce very fine and delicate knitted fabrics from polyester, nylon, polyamides, polypropylene and other materials. The material used, its fineness and the set number of stitches play a crucial role in production in terms of flexibility, stretch, stiffness, resilience and porosity of the fine knit. Due to the many possible variations of materials, the use of mono- and multifilaments or their combination, our filtration solutions can serve a wide range of applications. Our fine knits can be used, for example, in swimming pool skimmers, aquariums or coarse-meshed hose nets. The filters and silencers from thoenes® can be used in the automotive, process and energy industries. Uses in filtration applications (e.g. material separation in chemical processes) or as a noise damper for a defined reduction in the noise level with a defined setting of the flow rate and time are conceivable. We produce metal meshes as pressed pieces or as knitted fabrics in a wide range of dimensions. Various basic materials can be used – depending on the type of use and customer requirements. The knitted fabric can be used variably thanks to its stretchability and resilience. Materials such as chrome wire, brass, glass fibers, high-temperature yarns or other materials as well as wire thicknesses of 0.1 - 0.2 mm are suitable for knitting ribbons and tubes.
