The thoenes ® G123 – high-temperature glass fibre packing consists of twisted, textured HT glass. The texturing helps ensure that the packing retains only minimal heat, thereby providing good insulation properties.
Key properties :
- Excellent for use with flying sparks, slag, molten metals, oils, greases and solvents,
- Also resistant to most acids and alkalis, except phosphoric and hydrofluoric acids and strong alkalis,
- Good electrical insulation properties,
- Temperature-resistant up to approx. 750 °C.
Areas of application :
- Static applications involving mechanical stress in the medium heat protection and insulation range.
Available forms :
- Square, rectangular, round or 2 diagonally braided designs (3 – 50 mm*),
- Continuous material on a roll or in the desired length,
- Customised assembly (e.g. as a ring) available on request.
