The thoenes ® P644 – Aramid packing consisting of high-quality continuous aramid fibres (p-aramid) with PTFE and lubricant additive (paraffin oil).
Key properties :
- High pressure resistance,
- Low coefficient of friction,
- Sensitivity to UV radiation,
- Flammable but self-extinguishing,
- Max. Continuous temperature 250 °C,
- Short-term 300 °C,
- Good chemical resistance to solvents, fuels, lubricants, salt water, waste water, abrasive media (sand, sludge),
- Aramid fibres are attacked by some strong acids and alkalis, as well as alkali metals.
Forms of application :
Universally applicable for centrifugal pumps, piston pumps, valves and mixers in industries such as paper, sugar, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, refineries, power stations and steelworks.

- Rectangular or square packing,
- Dimensions: 5–25 mm (other dimensions on request).
