The thoenes ® P639 – PTFE-graphite yarn packing consists of graphite-filled PTFE multifilament fibres.
Key properties :
- Good pressure resistance,
- Low coefficient of friction,
- High cross-sectional density and structural strength,
- Non-flammable,
- Extremely resistant to bases, alcohols, ketones, petrol and oils,
- Not resistant to very strong reducing agents such as solutions of alkali metals in liquid ammonia or to very strong oxidising agents.
PTFE multifilament fibres
- Max. continuous temperature 250 °C,
- Short-term exposure to 280 °C possible.
Applications
Universal use in centrifugal pumps, control valves, special designs in the food industry, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, and in mixers and agitators.
