thoenes ® C639 – Cellulose Packing is a packing made from pure cellulose fibre yarn, filled with PTFE/graphite and silicone oil. It incorporates all the proven properties of packings made from cotton, hemp and ramie.
Key properties :

- Low maintenance,
- Longer service life,
- Higher absorbency,
- Better retention of preparations,
- Max. continuous operating temperature 120 – 140 °C,
- Short-term exposure to 170 °C possible,
- Thermal decomposition from 180 °C.
Fields of application :
- Suitable for use in pumps and fittings,
- Good resistance to cold and hot water, seawater, waste water, diluted alkaline solutions, as well as fats and oils,
- Not resistant to highly concentrated acids and alkalis.
