thoenes ® C609 – Cellulose Packing is a packing made from pure cellulose fibre yarn, filled with PTFE and silicone oil. It incorporates all the proven properties of packings made from cotton, hemp and ramie.
Key properties:
- Gentle on shafts,
- Low maintenance,
- Longer service life,
- Higher absorbency,
- Better absorption of preparations,
- Max. continuous operating temperature: 120 – 140 °C,
- Short-term exposure to 170 °C possible,
- Thermal decomposition from 180 °C.
Applications :
- Suitable for use in pumps and fittings,
- Good resistance to cold and hot water, seawater, waste water, diluted alkaline solutions, as well as fats and oil.
