The thoenes ® N506 – Ramie Yarn Packing is a packing made from pure ramie fibres with a PTFE impregnation to prevent product contamination, or available in a version with a PTFE-graphite compound for improved heat dissipation.
Key properties:
- High strength,
- Boil-proof, high swelling and absorbency resistance,
- Resistant to cold and hot water, seawater, waste water,…
- Resistant to abrasive media,
- Not resistant to highly concentrated acids and alkalis, oxygen.
Rami fibre :
- Max. continuous operating temperature 120 – 130 °C,
- Short-term exposure to 140 – 150 °C possible.
PTFE impregnation :
- Max. continuous operating temperature 250 °C,
- Short-term exposure to 280 °C possible.
Fields of application :
- Centrifugal and piston pumps in water management,
- the paper, food and marine industries for water, oils, fats, fuels and light solvents,
- Resistant to abrasive media.
