The MultiTex ® sealing material consists of 100% multidirectionally expanded ePTFE. It contains no fillers, pigments or printing ink and is therefore particularly well suited to ultra-clean applications, especially in the food and pharmaceutical sectors (FDA-compliant).
Key properties :
- Flow behaviour in the longitudinal and transverse directions is reduced to a minimum,
- The applied surface pressure is maintained permanently,
- The sealing material adapts excellently to all surfaces,
- UV resistance, no ageing,
- Continuous operating temperature 270 °C, 315 °C possible for short periods.
Areas of application :
MultiTex ® PTFE sealing material is used in pipe flanges, heat exchangers, apparatus engineering, enamelled systems, reactors, pumps and in the pharmaceutical and food industries.
Supply forms :
- MultiTex@ ePTFE is available as sheet material or as cut or punched gaskets:
- Sheet size: 1500 mm x 1500 mm *,
- Material thicknesses: 0.5–9 mm *,
- Cut or punched gaskets: in accordance with DIN EN 1514-1.
